Thanks for stopping by. I wanted to say hello and share a little bit about myself, my family, and why I decided to start this business.
My name is Julie, and I have a wonderful husband along with 2 step-sons, 2 biological children, and two adopted children. We are a blended family and have so much for which to be thankful.
The idea of this store came along in the last year. As my two adopted children are growing, my husband and I are facing difficult challenges, with one of our main goals being to keep them safe. Many of you may remember the old Daytime soap opera, "As the World Turns." This world we live in today is scary. The world has become so technology-focused. The way that humans connect has fallen by the wayside. The internet has taken over socializing and building relationships.
I remember the days when we could leave the door unlocked and run to a neighbor's house to play. I wasn't scared of who could be following me or if I was going to get taken away by some crazy stranger. There was always a sense of safety. Everyone looked out for everyone. Nowadays, I am scared to let my kids run off to play at a neighbor's house without knowing the neighbor. I also have to be present and watch them closely when they are outside at a neighbor's house.
With my fear of the kids running off or being lured away, eloping because they are not getting their way, or just for my peace of mind, I have been constantly looking for more and more products that will help keep them safe.
I forgot to mention that both of our two youngest have been diagnosed with Autism, among other things. It has been a few years, but we have had to start locking up everything for our safety and theirs. I have been looking at products all over the internet, trying to find products that would work with our home. Thus, this idea came up about selling these products in one place. Safety and Security for a peaceful mind.
I hope to expand with more safety products geared toward caring for the elderly. This will come later, but I am very excited to get started with what we have done thus far.
